Plot
In the aftermath of the events in The Curse of the Black Pearl, the crew of the Black Pearl under the command of Captain Jack Sparrow (Ewan McGregor) continues to lay pirate's eyes on the booty of Blackbeard (Jonathan Pryce), the evil leader of the Flying Dutchman, and on Auberon (Tom Hopper), Blackbeard's pet zombie. After passing through the legendary Bermuda Triangle, they are suddenly attacked by a mysterious group of pirates who appear to have the power to freeze time. Captured and taken aboard the ship of the unknown pirate captain (Mark Pellegrino), Jack is revealed to be a legendary pirate, known as Long John Silver. After Jack refuses to join the crew as an ordinary crewman, he is put in a torture chamber where he is left to die, but is rescued by Captain Frank Sawyer (Samuel L. Jackson) of the Crimson Sea, who is unable to stop Jack from escaping. Jack takes a shard of a broken compass and escapes.
Jack seeks out the renowned pirate Captain Salazar (Johnny Depp) to ask for his help in finding Auberon.
